Colin Schmitt on the issues important to his campaign

Colin Schmitt endorsed by Reform Party

New Windsor, NY -- (7/19/18) Colin Schmitt, candidate for the 99th Assembly District, has been formally endorsed by the Reform Party and authorized to appear on the Reform Party Line in November's Election.

New York State Reform Party Chairman Curtis Sliwa stated, "The Reform Party is proud to endorse Colin Schmitt and have him as our candidate for the 99th Assembly District. Colin Schmitt has a proven track record as a reformer, unafraid to fight against corruption, even when it means taking on powerful members of his own party. Colin is the type of leader we need in Albany. He is willing to work across the aisle and focus on getting the job done for all constituents, something he has accomplished time and time again. Colin will be ready to work for all of us on day one. We urge voters from all parties and all backgrounds to vote for Colin Schmitt on the reform line on November 6th."

Colin Schmitt and his grassroots powered campaign recently submitted over three times the required petition signatures to secure the Reform Party Line.

Colin Schmitt stated, “I want to thank Chairman Sliwa and the Reform Party for their endorsement and support. I am a fierce advocate for ethics reform in Albany and in the Assembly will fight for the accountable, honest government we deserve. Unlike most candidates who only can talk about ethics reform, I have actually gotten it done. In my role as Chief-of-Staff in the Town of New Windsor I wrote the town ethics code modernization setting the standard for governments across the state. While Albany plays games, I have gotten the job done. I will be ready on the first day to fight for ethics reform, defend our Hudson Valley values, and fairly represent this district with energy and integrity. I ask for your vote in November.”

Colin Schmitt is committed to public service.  Colin is a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and chief-of-staff for New Windsor’s town government.  Previously, Colin served as Director of Operations for the NYS Senate Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs.  Colin and his fiancĂ©e, Nikki, live in the Town of New Windsor.
