Colin Schmitt endorsed by International Union of Operating Engineers Local 15, 15A, 15B, 15C and 15D
New Windsor, NY -- (5/2/16) Colin J. Schmitt, candidate for the 99th NYS Assembly District, has been endorsed by International Union of Operating Engineers Local 15, 15A, 15B, 15C and 15D.
The International Union of Operating Engineers Local represent 5,000 members and will alert all members and their families who reside in the 99th District as to their support of Colin Schmitt.
Thomas A. Callahan, President and Business Manager, stated in an endorsement letter “Mr. Schmitt will be a forceful advocate who knows the issues and problems confronting our Union and our industry and will work with us to get positive results. He is sympathetic to the aims and goals of organized labor. It is important we elect people who are supportive of the aims and goals of our Local Union and the Construction Industry.”
Colin Schmitt stated, “I come from a union family and a blue-collar household. I am a strong supporter of our working men and women because I am a product of a family just like so many the operating engineers represent. I thank Local 15, 15A, 15B, 15C and 15D for their support. The members of the operating engineers are critical to our state labor force, working on some of the most important public and private sector projects our state has, and will have no stronger advocate in Albany than myself. With their support and the support of the hard working men and women and union family households in the 99th District we will win November 8.”
Colin J. Schmitt is a resident of New Windsor. He serves in the Army National Guard and previously served as Director of Operations for the NYS Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee. For more information visit www.ColinSchmitt.com.
