Schmitt top Republican Assembly Fundraiser in the State
New Windsor, NY -- (1/26/16) Colin Schmitt, New Windsor resident, has been declared the top fundraiser for this November's elections for Republican State Assembly candidates.
PoliticoNY reported in “A ranking of Assembly warchests” by reporter Bill Mahoney on fundraising numbers from the Assembly.
It was reported that "Among Republicans, the top fundraiser for this November’s elections was Colin Schmitt, a one-time aide to former Sen. Greg Ball. He raised $16,061."
Schmitt started his campaign account (SCHMITT4NY) to explore running for the 99th NYS Assembly District in December. He had only a month, with numerous major holidays, to raise funds for a six month reporting period. To be the top fundraiser in such a limited time shows the depth and ability of the campaign Schmitt is building.
Colin Schmitt stated, “It is thanks to grassroots donors and supporters that we have been this successful so far. I am so grateful and extend thanks to all who have supported my efforts. It is with the continued help of my neighbors in Orange and Rockland Counties that we will build up the momentum to win in November 2016. I am invigorated to maintain the aggressive and energized Team Schmitt effort moving forward. Hudson Valley families and residents know I will fight for them in Albany and we will have the resources to spread the message to all voters.”
Colin J. Schmitt is a resident of New Windsor. He serves in the Army National Guard and previously served as Director of Operations for the NYS Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee. For more information visit www.ColinSchmitt.com.
