Sheriff Carl DuBois endorses Schmitt for Assembly
New Windsor, NY -- (3/6/16) Colin J. Schmitt has earned the support and endorsement of Orange County Sheriff Carl DuBois, the highest vote earning county official and longest serving county sheriff in Orange County, to run for the 99th Assembly District.
Colin Schmitt stated, “I thank Sheriff DuBois for his support and endorsement. Orange County and Hudson Valley voters know the Sheriff is dedicated to our public safety and ensuring Orange County is not only safe but the best place to live, work and raise a family. I had the privilege of working with Sheriff DuBois on critical homeland security and law enforcement matters when I served as Director of Operations of the NYS Senate Homeland Security Committee. I look forward to working with him to win on November 8 so we can continue that relationship and ensure our first responders are the best prepared and funded in the country.”
Sheriff Carl DuBois stated, “I have known Colin Schmitt and his family for many years both personally and professionally. When Colin ran the Senate Homeland Security Committee we worked together to ensure the safety and security of our state and region. Colin gets it. He knows what needs to be done and how to get it done. His service in the Army National Guard also sets him apart on leadership and energy to accomplish any task before him for our community. I will do all in my power to ensure Colin is elected this November and we will work together to keep Orange County safe and thriving.”
