ASSEMBLYMAN COLIN SCHMITT PARTNERS WITH LOCAL LEADERS, CARPENTERS UNION TO DELIVER FREE MEALS TO SENIORS AND VULNERABLE HOUSEHOLDS

Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt (R,C,I-New Windsor), Woodbury Mayor Tim Egan, local officials, Carpenters Local 279, and the Falkirk Estate & Country Club are delivering hundreds of meals to seniors and vulnerable households in need across the 99th Assembly District.

Nikki Schmitt represented her husband, Assemblyman Colin Schmitt, on the first day of food delivery as he is currently activated for the COVID-19 mission with the Army National Guard.

Meals are delivered contactless (left at the front door). They are delivered twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) during the COVID-19 crisis at no charge to seniors and vulnerable households thanks to the generosity of Falkirk Estate & Country Club.

Special thanks goes to Wayne Corts and his team at Falkirk Estate & Country Club. Thanks to Wayne’s generosity all these meals are fully provided at no charge.

Specific recognition also goes to Carpenters Local 279 who have committed a significant number of volunteers to help deliver these meals for the duration of the program.

Nikki Schmitt stated, “Today I am privileged to launch our 99th Assembly District COVID-19 meal delivery initiative for my husband Assemblyman Colin Schmitt while he serves on National Guard duty for the COVID-19 mission. We have many seniors and vulnerable households that are in need of a warm meal during this crisis. We are happy to partner with Mayor Egan, Falkirk Estate & Country Club and Carpenters Local 279 to get these meals to those most in need in our community. The Assembly office is fully operational during these difficult times, and this food delivery is just one of Colin’s many programs to help those in need in our district. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are in need of assistance on this or any subject. I want to send a special thanks to Falkirk Estates for the generous donation of meals for this program and Carpenters Local 279 for sending many volunteers to make sure these meals make it to those in need.”

I would also like to thank Assemblyman Colin Schmitt, Falkirk Estate & Country Club and Carpenters Local 279 for partnering with me and the village government to help those most in need in our community.
