SCHMITT STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR’S BUDGET ADDRESS Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt (R,C,I-New Windsor) released the following statement today in response of the Governor’s 2020 budget address: “The Governor's budget address left little to be desired. There was a lot of fancy talk and powerpoint slides but the core of what will impact Hudson Valley families should worry all residents. Of paramount concern is the Governor's proposal to change the school funding
Cuomo proposes new school funding formula that would strip Hudson Valley & Long Island School Districts of funding and redistribute elsewhere. Requiring higher local taxes. Hell no. I stand against raiding our schools fair share. Demand your majority senators&members do as well.
Governor and Democrats blink and mention criminal justice changes in budget address.... keep pressure up. Now calls changes “ongoing process.” We must have full repeal! https://www.facebook.com/NYforSchmitt/photos/a.1051812368182649/3009252199105313/?type=3
